Why
used a Carved Sign over a vinyl lettering? There is just something
about the warm feeling and look of a carved sign. Carved signs give your business
validity and a classic look that is timeless. Also, carved signs refract light
back to your eyes making them more visible at greater distances.
What
are the materials used in making carved signs? Roam the Earth, Inc
has the ability to cut many material needed to get the job. Many materials are
hardwoods and aluminum, but 90% of the signs going out of the shop are made
out of HDU (high density urethane) foam is made of millions of tiny bubbles,
or cells that are mostly separate from each other. Since these cells are not
interconnected, neither moisture nor temperature can enter it, making it completely
waterproof and impervious to solvents.
Will
I need to get a permit for put up a sign? Both business and home owners
are subjected to needing a permit in local townships. Most town ordinances in
your area have a small fee associated with the filing for a sign permit, and
almost always require a design which Roam the Earth, Inc provides in CAD.
Where
do you ship signs? We have shipped signs all over the United States,
and can ship anywhere in the world. Additional pricing will be added for sending
work over seas.
What
kinds of paint do put on your signs? For the most part we like to use
Urethane Alkyd Gloss Enamels.
